Focus Climb – Hautacam

The Hautacam climb is a beautiful 17km climb that starts from the Vallées des Gaves at the village of Ayros-Arbouix. Classified as HC climb, this climb will challenge the best of cyclists. The road is very quiet which is perfect for cyclists and on the way up the postcard scenery will take your mind off some of the punchy 11% switchback gradients.
This climb is very similar Mt Buller in Victoria Australia yet the prize at the top is so much better with a panoramic view of the Argelés Valley. For those who are keen for more there's the option to climb the extra 2 km to the summit of Col de Tramassel.
